RES080 datasheet · Official CAE systemRegulated by MITECO · RD 36/2023

Full energy renovation? It's the highest-value CAE in the residential catalogue.

If your works combine a heat pump with envelope improvements (insulation, windows), the RES080 deep renovation datasheet certifies the full energy leap between your before and after certificates — the biggest saving in the residential catalogue. Sanwa calculates it from your CEEs, processes the case and pays you. Free for you.

€3,000–4,000on average paid to owners — the biggest residential CAE
Does it apply to you?

Which renovations generate a CAE — and which don't.

Generates a CAE

  • Renovations combining a heat pump (aerothermal) with envelope works: façade or roof insulation, window replacement…
  • Buildings and homes with before and after energy certificates that prove the improvement
  • Old homes with combustion heating: they certify the biggest savings
  • Homeowners' associations and individuals

Doesn't generate a CAE under this datasheet

  • Standalone actions that don't touch the envelope: a heat pump on its own goes under the RES060/RES09x datasheets (we process those too)
  • Insulation or windows without replacing the generator: they go under their specific envelope datasheets
  • Works without before and after energy certificates: the leap between them IS the saving — without them there's no case (we can issue them for you)

Not sure which datasheet maximises your case? That's exactly the study we do for free: we compare RES080 against processing the actions separately and propose the highest-value route.

Documentation

The paperwork, clear from the start.

The RES080 case documents both parts of the works: the heat pump and the envelope. It sounds like a lot — in practice it's photos, invoices and the two energy certificates (which we can issue for you).

Mandatory

  • Photos of the heat pump: removed equipment, empty spot, new installation (indoor and outdoor) and rating plate

They prove the replacement of the combustion generator.

  • Photos of the envelope BEFORE and AFTER the works

They document the intervention on the façade, roof or windows.

  • Heat pump invoice and envelope works invoice

Both actions must be proven with their date and amount.

  • BEFORE energy certificate with its registration receipt

Sets the starting point: its emissions define the initial energy of the calculation.

  • AFTER energy certificate with its registration receipt

Proves the result: the difference between the two certificates is your saving.

  • Legalisation registration of the installation

The heat pump must be legalised with Industry — we handle it.

Optional — but worth it

They don't block the case, but they speed it up or improve the result:

  • Letting us handle both energy certificates ⭐

Our technicians issue the before and after CEEs optimised to reflect the full real leap of the works — the CAE amount comes directly from that difference.

  • Proof of bank account ownership

Speeds up the payment: we verify the payout account first time.

  • Proof of underfloor heating

Only if the installation includes it: it improves the calculation parameters.

If you haven't started the works yet, call us first: ordering the before certificate at the right moment (before touching anything) is what guarantees the case captures the full saving.

How much you get paid

The biggest saving in the residential catalogue.

The calculation compares the final energy of your before and after certificates, using the official factors for each fuel and region. The worse the starting point (an old combustion-heated home), the bigger the leap and the bigger the CAE.

  • Average renovation: heat pump + envelope

    €3,000–4,000

30,000 kWh/year — the average certified saving across our cases

  • Old home with heating oil

    The highest amounts

Heating oil has the highest conversion factor in the calculation

  • Versus processing separately

    RES080 usually wins

It certifies the improvement as a whole, not isolated actions

  • The real leap between the before and after certificates
  • The fuel replaced: heating oil and coal score higher than natural gas
  • The region (electricity factors differ between the mainland and the islands)
  • The quality of the two CEEs — that's why we offer to issue them ourselves

Ranges based on the real amounts Sanwa is paying owners for energy renovation cases. The final amount depends on your specific energy certificates and we confirm it in writing before starting. The service has no cost for you.

How it works

From documentation to money in your account in 3 steps.

  1. 01

    Send us the documentation

Photos, invoices and your two energy certificates. Don't have them? We issue them, optimised to capture the full leap of the works.

  2. 02

    We process and verify

We calculate the saving with the official factors, an ENAC-accredited body verifies it and we submit the case. Everything visible online.

  3. 03

    You get paid

In about 3 months on average. We pay you the same week your certificate is issued — we don't wait to be paid ourselves first.

Tailored calculation

We do this calculation for you, for free.

RES080 is calculated on your real energy certificates, not with generic estimates. Send them to us (or ask us to issue them) and we'll return your CAE's indicative amount in writing, with no obligation.

Common questions

What we get asked before starting.

How much does it cost to process my renovation's CAE with Sanwa?
Nothing. The service is free from start to finish: you don't pay before, during or after. Sanwa earns its margin by negotiating the certified savings with the system's Obligated and Delegated Parties.
Why RES080 instead of processing the heat pump and the insulation separately?
Because deep renovation certifies the complete leap between your two energy certificates — usually more savings than the sum of individual datasheets. We compare both for free in the study of your case and propose the highest-value route.
I don't have a before energy certificate and the works have already started — what do I do?
Write to us before going any further: depending on the stage of the works, the starting situation can still be documented correctly. Our technicians will tell you what's viable in your specific case.
Does it work for homeowners' associations?
Yes — and that's usually where the biggest amounts come from: whole-building renovations with a boiler-room replacement and envelope works. We prepare the case and the documentation for the association.
Is it compatible with renovation aid (European funds, tax deductions)?
Yes. The CAE is an independent mechanism: it adds to renovation subsidies and to the tax deductions applicable to the same works.
When do I get paid?
In about 3 months on average from the moment the case is complete. We pay you the same week the certificate is issued — we don't wait to be paid ourselves first.
