New aerothermal heat pump at home? Your combustion boiler owes you money — and we get it for you.
By installing an aerothermal heat pump — replacing your combustion boiler or hybridising with it (datasheets RES060 and RES09x) — you generate an energy saving that the CAE system (Energy Savings Certificates) turns into a cash amount. Sanwa calculates the saving, gathers the documentation, legalises the installation if needed and pays you. Free for you.
Which installations generate a CAE — and which don't.
Generates a CAE
- Installing an aerothermal heat pump in a home with a combustion boiler (RES060 datasheet)
- Hybrid installations: the heat pump works alongside your boiler (RES09x datasheets)
- Homes, and also premises or buildings with combustion heating
- With or without underfloor heating — and with it, the amount goes up
Doesn't generate a CAE
- Installing aerothermal where there was only electric equipment before (electric radiators, another heat pump): the energy certificate must show a combustion generator
- New builds with no previous heating system
Does your case combine aerothermal with envelope works (insulation, windows)? The RES080 energy renovation datasheet is probably better for you — the amount is higher. We advise you for free on which one maximises your CAE.
The paperwork, clear from the start.
This is what an aerothermal case (RES060/RES09x) needs. Your installer has half of it; the rest are photos you can take with your phone in five minutes. And the documents generated during the processing are on us.
Mandatory
Photos of the previous equipment and the installation space
They prove the action on the existing combustion system (if the boiler is removed, also of the empty spot).
Photos of the new installation (indoor and outdoor) and of the heat pump's rating plate
They identify the installed equipment and its serial number.
Installation invoice
Date and scope of the action: it places the case within the deadline.
Energy certificate
Reflects the home's energy situation. If you don't have one, we issue it within the same case.
Commissioning registered with Industry (legalisation)
The installation must be officially registered — if you're missing it, we handle that too.
Optional — but worth it
They don't block the case, but they can increase what you get paid or speed up the payment:
Photo of the old boiler's rating plate ⭐
Without it, the regulations force us to assume the most favourable efficiency (0.92, a condensing boiler). With the plate, a technician applies your boiler's real efficiency — in old boilers it's considerably lower, and the lower the previous efficiency, the MORE certified savings and the MORE money for you.
Proof of bank account ownership
Speeds up the payment: we verify the payout account first time.
Proof of underfloor heating
Only if your installation includes it: it improves the calculation parameters.
The tip that's worth the most money: before the old boiler is taken away, photograph its rating plate. It takes a minute and can raise your CAE noticeably.
What we are paying today.
The amount depends on three things: your home's floor area and age (its heating demand), your heat pump's SCOP and your combustion boiler's efficiency. These are the real ranges we are paying owners:
Average home (160 m²)
€1,700–2,000
the real average paid to owners today
Large homes (over 300 m²)
€4,000–4,300
what we are paying in this bracket
Old boiler's rating plate and/or underfloor heating
Goes up
the boiler's real efficiency and underfloor heating increase the certified savings
- The home's age: it sets the official heating demand per m²
- Habitable floor area and climate zone
- The SCOP of the installed heat pump
- Your combustion boiler's real efficiency and underfloor heating (both raise the amount)
Ranges based on the real amounts Sanwa is paying owners in 2026 for aerothermal cases. The final amount depends on your specific case (floor area, age, equipment and boiler) and we confirm it in writing before starting. The service has no cost for you.
From documentation to money in your account in 3 steps.
- 01
Send us the documentation
Photos, invoice and technical datasheet. If you're missing the energy certificate or the Industry legalisation, we handle them within the same case.
- 02
We process and verify
We calculate the saving with the official methodology, an ENAC-accredited body verifies it and we submit the case. Everything visible online.
- 03
You get paid
In about 3 months on average. We pay you the same week your certificate is issued — we don't wait to be paid ourselves first.
Aerothermal calculator
Calculate your CAE with your cadastral reference.
Enter your cadastral reference, choose your heat pump from the real equipment catalogue and we give you the annual saving with its indicative economic value. Free and with no sign-up.
What we get asked before starting.
- How much does it cost to process my aerothermal CAE with Sanwa?
- Nothing. The service is free from start to finish: you don't pay before, during or after. Sanwa earns its margin by negotiating the certified savings with the system's Obligated and Delegated Parties.
- I already threw out the old boiler and have no photo of its plate — do I lose the CAE?
- No. The case still goes ahead with the default efficiency set by the regulations (0.92). The plate is only the way to apply your boiler's real efficiency and increase the amount — that's why we recommend it while it's still possible.
- I don't have an energy certificate for the home — what do I do?
- We handle it: we issue the energy certificate within the same process, with technicians prepared to maximise the associated CAE. It's one of our regular services.
- I'm keeping my boiler and the heat pump works alongside it — does that also generate a CAE?
- Yes. Hybrid installations are processed under the RES09x datasheets, designed for a heat pump and a boiler working together. We choose the datasheet that maximises your amount.
- My installation isn't legalised with Industry — is that a problem?
- No: the legalisation registration is part of the case and Sanwa processes it in parallel in any autonomous community. It's precisely our speciality as a platform.
- Is it compatible with grants or tax deductions?
- Yes. The CAE is independent of public aid and of tax deductions for efficiency: it can be added to them on the same action.
- My own installer fitted it and doesn't work with you?
- No problem at all: we only need their invoice and their installation certificate. And if your installer wants to build the CAE into their next quotes, we also have a platform for companies.
